Dave was elected as Highway Superintendent in 1988. Prior to his election to this position Dave served for twenty years in various positions with the Town of Greece Highway Department. Dave has a force of one administrative assistant, one General Foreman, one Working Foreman, two Heavy Equipment Operators, six Motor Equipment Operators, one Mechanic and two seasonal employees. With this force the Highway Department maintains on a year round basis 45 Lane Miles of State Roads, 37 Lane Miles of County Roads and 38.5 Lane Miles of Town Roads.

Goals & Objectives of the Department: To provide a safe and efficient road system for the Town of Clarkson's residents. To generate revenue for the Town of Clarkson, through contraction with the State of New York for Winter Operations, and with Monroe County for Winter Operations, Highway maintenance and construction, Road Side Mowing, Road Side Pick Up and animal pick up. The Highway Department has also in the recent past constructed The Courthouse, built the first Fire House within the Town of Clarkson, and constructed two parks - both with picnic pavilions. The Highway Department has also installed miles of water and sewer lines within the town.
