Hafner Park is getting a makeover, and we need YOUR input to make it truly special. Join us July 11, from 4-8 PM at Goodwin Lodge in Hafner Park for a public forum on the park redesign! Mark your calendars and spread the word!

WIBA #1 Update – June 14th

The town recently received the go-ahead for the WIBA #1 project to be bid. The town’s engineers, MRB Group, has provided the following timeline:

• Bid opening on July 16th

• Award project at July 23rd meeting

• Construction begins September 2024

Substantial completion (water on) March 2025

• Final payment (project completed and cleaned up) May 2025

Lawn Mowing Proposals

We are accepting lawn mowing proposals for various delinquent properties in the Town of Clarkson. Proposals are to be submitted on business letterhead, and must:
– State that contractor will use his own equipment.
– Provide a quote for 100 sq. ft. of mowing area.
– Provide a quote for each additional 100 sq. ft. of mowing area.
– Indicate if a sq. ft. minimum of mowing area is required.
In addition, must include proof of insurance: 1) Workers Comp. form C105.2, and 2) Certificate of General Liability, form Acord 25, min. limits of $1,000,000 for each occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate; and list ‘Town of Clarkson as additional named insured’ in Description of Operations box. The Town of Clarkson must be listed as the Certificate Holder.

Democratic Primary Voter Information

The Monroe County Board of Elections would like to ensure that you are well-informed and prepared for the upcoming Democratic Primary on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Please take note of the following important deadlines:

  • New Registrant deadline: Received by June 15
  • Change of Address deadline: Received by June 10
  • Absentee/Early Mail Vote application deadline: Received by June 15
  • Absentee/Early Mail Vote ballot return deadline: Postmark by June 25
  • In-person Absentee/Early Mail Vote application deadline: June 24

To check your registration status, please visit www.monroecounty.gov/etc/voter/. If you are an eligible resident and need to register to vote, you can do so at www.ny.gov/services/register-vote or by sending a registration card to the Board of Elections.

Early voting will be available from June 15 to June 23. For times and locations, please visit www.monroecounty.gov/elections-earlyvoting. If you wish to cast your vote by an early mail vote, you must request an application or submit it electronically through the portal https://ballotapplication.elections.ny.gov/home/earlymail.

For those who prefer to vote by absentee ballot, please request an application or submit it electronically through the portal www.monroecounty.gov/elections-absentee.

As a reminder, postcards containing important voting information and your current polling site will be mailed to all eligible voters. If any changes occur to your polling site after the postcard has been sent, you will receive another letter with the updated information. You can also check your polling site at www.monroecounty.gov/etc/voter/.
